Bump Presents Research

This is the second comic about the characters I created for the comic, “Things That go Bump in the Night.” This time Professor Bump describes research data but mistakenly converted the values to binary making the plot of little value.
Ecodeji - Fibonacci sequence

This is a silly algorithm using JavaScript to make EMOJI character icons function as JavaScript keywords. It isn't a practical way of doing it but it is short enough to print on merchandise for fellow members of the nerd, developer/programmer, and IT communities.

Irrational

A comic asking why some of the important irrational math constants are irrational, which means they have an infinite number of non-repeating digits. Includes pi, Euler's constant, square root of 2, and the Fibonacci number sequence.
Nerd Tiles

This comic for the web developers/programmers generates the tiles that spell out four different nerd names: nerd, geek, dork, and dweeb. This could have been made simpler with just HTML and CSS but where is the fun in that. So it also includes JavaScript.
Early Bird

The early bird gets the worm is a common saying about hard work. This comic has fun with that.
Factorial

Factorial is not particularly useful outside of statistics but is useful in teaching recursion in software development/programming. This graphic shows two ways of implementing factorial with JavaScript.
Gettysburg Address

The Gettysburg Address by President Abraham Lincoln was a dedication of portions of the fields of Gettysburg to bury those that fell in the bloody fighting. This comic attempts to translate Licoln's eloquent words into JavaScript.
The Great Adventurer

In the dark ages of RPGs you were on your own to find your quest objectives. There is nothing wrong with that for the serious gamer but it is a huge obstacle for the casual gamer. So game developers added HUDs (Heads-Up Display), maps, and quest markers to make it easier to find your objectives. In this comic the HUD vanishes.
Unified Field Party

Unified Field Theory is the idea that all of the fundamental forces are related and can be described with the same set of equations. Electromagnetism, the Weak Nuclear force, and the Strong Nuclear force have all been described in this way. Gravity, however, has so far resisted all unifying attempts. This comic has fun with that fact.
