That document outlined the reason when the Thirteen Colonies deserved to be independent from the tyrannical British Empire. As a lead web developer I had ample opportunities of seeing the desktops of my fellow developers and the talented designers and how different their minds worked. This comic showcases the disparity in the laptop desktops. I created it with two little JavaScript-powered web pages, one for each desktop, to add emojis as the icons. I took the photos used as the backgrounds.
The Great Adventurer

In the dark ages of RPGs you were on your own to find your quest objectives. There is nothing wrong with that for the serious gamer but it is a huge obstacle for the casual gamer. So game developers added HUDs (Heads-Up Display), maps, and quest markers to make it easier to find your objectives. In this comic the HUD vanishes.
Aurora Reminders

Space is dangerous and the Earth protects us from most of those dangers. The magnetic field and atmosphere protects life from almost all of the ionizing radiation, most of which expelled by the Run. We see the protection as the aurora borealis.
Things That go Bump in the Night

This comic shows two characters both named “Bump” that are afraid of things that go bump during the day. One of the “Bumps” suggest they can scare the day-monsters away by making lots of noise in the middle of the night.
Noah and the Dove

According to Genesis God ordered Noah to construct an ark to hold survivors of the Great Flood. When a dove returns with an olive branch Noah knows that the waters will recede. This comic posits that Noah was hoping the dove would lead to leprechaun gold.
Detected

Games often have mechanics that players can exploit to practically break the game. This is a symbol from a certain wildly popular RPG for when you are detected while sneaking.
